Route: Sofia–Koprivstitsa-Kazanlak-Veliko Tarnovo–Arbanassi–Russe-Pliska-Varna– Nessebar–Plovdiv-Sofia

Day 1: Sofia Arrival at Sofia airport. Welcome and transfer to the hotel, accommodation and time for rest.Overnight in Sofia.
Day 2: Sofia /B,L/ Morning city tour of Sofia – visit to “St.Alexander Nevsky” Memorial Church, theRotunda “St. George” , the Boyana Church – one of Bulgaria’s most significant historical treasures dating back to the 13thC., included in UNESCO’s World Heritage list. Lunch at a Bulgarian folk-style restaurant.Afternoon – time at leisure. Optional: Visit to the National History Museum. Overnight in Sofia.
Day 3: Sofia- Koprivstitsa – Kazanlak, 220 km. /B,L/ Morning departure for Kazanlak via Koprivshtitza. Sightseeing tour of Koprivshtitza. Lunch in the town. Drive to Kazanlak. Visit to the Thracian Tomb and the Museum of Roses in the city of Kazanlak. Overnight in Kazanlak.
Day 4: Kazanlak-Ettur-Veliko Tarnovo, 105 km. /B,L/This morning departure for the ancient town ofVeliko Turnovo via the Balkan Mountains. On the way visit the Ettur – Open Air Ethnographic museum. Lunch at the complex. Drive to Veliko Turnovo.Afternoon walking tour of Veliko Turnovo – the Tzarevetz Hill, Samovodene Marketplace, Historical Museum. Optional: Spectacular evening show ”Tzarevgrad-Turnov Sound and Light”. Overnight in Veliko Turnovo / Arbanassi.
Day 5: Veliko Turnovo – Russe, 116 km. /B,L/After breakfast visit of the village of Arbanassi. Drive toRousse. Lunch at a panoramic restaurant along the Danube river. Afternoon visit to the Ivanovo rock churches. Optional: dinner at a restaurant in the town. Overnight in Russe.
Day 6: Russe – Pliska – Varna, 260 km. /B,L/After breakfast departure for Pliska. Visit of the archeological complex. Departure for Madara and visit the famous rock relief “Horseman of Madara”, sculptured at a height of 23 m. on a vertical rock. Lunch near Madara. Drive to Varna. After arrival – time at leisure. Overnight in Varna.
Day 7: Varna – Nessebar, 115 km. /B/After breakfast visit to the Aladzha monastery. Return in Varna and sightseeing tour of the town. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon – drive to Nessebar/Bourgas.Overnight in Nessebar/Bourgas.
Day 8: Nessebar-Plovdiv, 295 km. /B,L/After breakfast – sightseeing tour of the “museum” townNessebar. Lunch at a fish restaurant.Drive to Plovdiv. Arrival in the evening. Overnight in Plovdiv.
Day 9: Plovdiv-Bachkovo-Plovdiv, 60 km. /B,L/After breakfast tour of the Old town of Plovdiv. Lunch at a restaurant of the Old town. Afternoon visit to Bachkovo Monastery. Overnight in Plovdiv.
Day 10: Plovdiv – Rila – Borovets, 310 km. /B,L,D/Early morning journey to Rila Monastery. Visit to the monastery and its museum. Lunch in the monastery complex. Drive to the mountain resort Borovets. Time at leisure. Farewell dinner. Overnight in Borovets.
Day 11: Borovets-Sofia, 80 km. /B/After breakfast – transfer to the airport.
